Minelab E-TRAC Metal Detector
The Minelab E-TRAC Is A Great Deep Hunting Detector
Minelab's E-TRAC one of the the best metal detectors available right now. It is modeled on the best-selling Explorer SE by Minelab, but the E-TRAC has computerized capabilities that far surpass its predecessor.
Here are the cutting edge features E-TRAC offers:
- Deep level detection
- The ability to detect numerous objects due to its superior sensitivity
- Easily filter out electromagnetic objects that normally interfere with detectors
- A high level of accuracy in terms of object identification
E-TRAC is now the device to which all other detectors will be measured. Thanks to Minelab's established Full Band Spectrum, or FBS, multi-frequency advancements, E-TRAC is very accurate, sensitive, quick, and best of all, deep!
Due to the advanced digital filtering that was improved with new timings, this model provides superior sensitivity and the accurate identification of targets. A superior discrimination scale allows for instant item identification through the use of the quickest and strongest microprocessor available.
Another new feature on Minelab's E-TRAC is a USB port that includes the XChange computer program to which you can download, save, and share your preferred modes. The machine is also ergonomically excellent. The menu is very user-friendly no matter which mode you are in, which means the E-TRAC can be used by beginners and experts alike.
My Own Opinion of the E-TRAC
My E-TRAC is the best detector I have used when it comes to identifying objects and detecting items buried deep. The Explorer went nearly as deep as the E-TRAC, but I exchanged it for the E-TRAC and I have never turned back.
I have used White's detectors. I have used Tesoro detectors. I have used Garrett detectors. Each detector was the best detector made by that brand. They are all great detectors and I have suggested them to other hunters.
I have only used this device for a short period of time. However, as I have used it, I learned that few detectors I have ever used is as good as the E-TRAC.
A Very User Friendly Metal Detector
I was able to master the E-TRAC easily and quickly. The menu is extremely user-friendly, which allows for simple switching of modes. The E-TRAC provides data for ferrous and conductive features of objects. In addition, it provides you with numbers and a graph so you have the best information to use to determine whether or not you want to dig. No other device, except the Explorer, will give you as much detail.
Depth determinations are frequently not accurate on many devices. The E-TRAC can be inaccurate as well; however it is more accurate than any other detector I have ever used.
I have found the E-TRAC to be excellent in areas that have a lot of trash because it provides accurate identification of objects so you don't end up digging up a lot of garbage.
The E-TRAC detects objects buried very deep, and seems to draw silver to it. Detectors made by Minelab are known for discovering silver. Europeans love Minelab detectors because they are great at locating ancient relics.
Battery Life - Average
The batteries are average. You will get approximately 20 hours of use on a single charge of NIMH 2000 MAH AA batteries, which you can purchase online. If you use the batteries that come with it, you will only be able to use it for 10 hours on a single charge. If you use the E-TRAC's back light, you will use up the batteries more quickly, but it's not significant.
Minelab's E-TRAC would be my choice for a detector that is going to provide me with the best results no matter where I am hunting or what I am looking for.
